Molecule
Group of atoms bonded together; fundamental unit of chemical compounds.
A molecule is a group of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds. The term may or may not include ions that satisfy this criterion, depending on context. Molecules can be homonuclear, consisting of atoms of one element, or heteronuclear, composed of more than one element. The study of molecules is known as molecular physics or molecular chemistry.
